GPCOG promotes rail, bus, ferry, and carpool transportation and provides transportation and land use planning technical assistance to transit providers, municipalities and the public.
Corridor Planning and Coalitions — GPCOG facilitates coordinated planning efforts in the region and in three sub-regions.
GO Maine - Statewide rideshare, commuter assistance and state vanpool program.
Kids and Transportation - Teaches children about transportation choices to improve safety and air quality.
Land Use Planning Services — GPCOG helps towns with comprehensive plans, ordinances, and development review.
Maine Clean Communities MC2 - GPCOG helps fleet managers develop clean fuel facilities, and promotes clean vehicles.
PACTS - Conducts long-range transportation studies and plans, and prioritizes federally funded projects.
Rail Outreach Safety Program — GPCOG promotes rail safety awareness at highway-rail grade crossings.
Safe Kids Maine — GPCOG is the lead organization for this statewide program promoting child passenger safety and injury prevention.
Small Starts - Portland North Small Starts is a study of the feasability of extending passenger rail service from Portland to Brunswick, ME or Lewiston/Auburn.
Transportation Information Display System (TIDS) - Provides rail, bus, ferry and airline schedule information to travelers at Portland transportation terminals, participating hotels, the Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, and The Maine Mall.
Transit Planning - GPCOG provides technical planning assistance to public and private transportation agencies and operators.
